From Hollywood to Rimini, Spacey a star at Galli: “Fellini inspired me”

Rimini, 23 June 2025 – Kevin Spacey , Oscar winner for American Beauty and The Usual Suspects , took to the stage at the Galli Theatre . His arrival on the red carpet in Rimini, today for the Italian Global Series Festival, was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd: applause, smiles, selfies, handshakes and autographs non-stop. The event brought together enthusiasts and professionals from all over Italy and beyond, transforming the evening into a moment of celebration of great international cinema . Spacey's presence ignited the enthusiasm, creating an atmosphere full of emotion. The actor, elegant and smiling, reciprocated with great ease. And in Rimini he could not fail to mention Federico Fellini .

“Did he inspire me? Of course,” he replies without hesitation, “Fellini is the master, nominated for an Oscar many times, one of the most nominated in the history of Hollywood. And he won four (plus one for his career, ed .).” A heartfelt tribute, pronounced in front of the Rimini audience, almost as if to weld an ideal bond between two worlds, two careers marked by genius, and by a passion for cinema.

In the audience , fans with old DVDs of House of Cards and American Beauty asked him for a signature, small cult objects transformed into collectible relics . During the evening, the actor received the Maximo Excellence Award.

“Kevin Spacey was one of the first actors to win two Oscars and a Golden Globe to lead a long-running series: he marked a pioneering moment in TV and set a new standard in serial storytelling,” explained Marco Spagnoli, artistic director of the festival.
